On September 5, Wang Qingfeng, Party Secretary and President, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Shandong Bureau of the China Metallurgical Geology Bureau, where he held a symposium with Yuan Ming, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Shandong Bureau.

Yuan Ming extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from the institute’s leadership and provided an in-depth overview of the Shandong Bureau of the China Metallurgical Geology Bureau, highlighting its key initiatives, including progress in reform and development and industrial transformation. Wang Qingfeng outlined the institute’s historical evolution, organizational structure, qualification‑building efforts, and major business segments, as well as the current status of its overseas operations. The two sides engaged in a thorough discussion on how central geological survey institutions can effectively respond to the current complex and volatile economic environment facing the geoscience sector.

Through in-depth exchanges, both sides stated that they will take this learning and exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen their ties, draw on each other’s experience, leverage their respective strengths, and actively advance cooperation across broader scopes, higher levels, and wider fields. This will lay a solid foundation for achieving mutually beneficial development and contribute positively to the transformation and high-quality growth of Shandong’s geological exploration sector.
