The hospital leadership traveled to Yunnan to conduct inspection and exchange activities, and carried out on-site research and guidance at project sites.

Recently, a delegation of five, led by Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng, traveled to Yunnan to conduct a fact-finding and exchange visit, during which they paid courtesy calls on and extended condolences to frontline project staff. Accompanying the delegation were Sun Xinyong, Member of the Institute’s Party Committee and Vice President; Gao Faxiang, Expert Advisor to the Institute; Qiu Guanghui, Assistant to the President and Director of the Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Institute; and Chen Gang, Director of the Geological Survey Institute, among others.

On August 3, a delegation of the institute’s leadership paid a visit to Jinghong Mingcheng Mining Co., Ltd. for an inspection and exchange. Wang Qingfeng expressed his gratitude for the company’s longstanding trust and support, and provided an overview of the institute’s development history, core business areas, strategic vision, and corporate philosophy. He expressed hope that, building on their long-standing, fruitful collaboration, the two parties would further deepen cooperation across various domains, including full‑life‑cycle services for mining operations. In turn, Shan Zhaolin, Chairman of Mingcheng Mining Co., Ltd., extended a warm welcome to the institute’s delegation, outlined the company’s background and its plans for future growth, and thanked Shandong Institute for its many years of contributions to the company’s mineral‑exploration endeavors. He noted that Shandong Institute boasts high‑caliber talent and strong technical expertise, which have enabled it to deliver top‑quality geological services and resolve numerous complex challenges faced by the company. Looking ahead, he expressed the hope that, as the company’s sole provider of geological exploration services, Shandong Institute will help advance cooperation to a higher level, achieving greater mutual benefit and win‑win outcomes.

On August 4, a delegation of the institute’s leadership traveled to the Yunxi Malage Copper–Tin Mine project site to gain an in-depth understanding of the project’s progress, epidemic prevention and control measures, and workplace safety, and engaged in thorough discussions with the project team. Wang Qingfeng delivered a brief Party‑building lecture to the team, urging them to persist in studying both political theory and professional expertise, and to translate their learning into powerful tools for guiding practical work. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the core business, intensifying marketing efforts, and addressing customers’ key pain points and challenges to secure a solid foothold in the local geological exploration market, while actively participating in Yunnan’s new round of mineral exploration initiatives. He also called for strengthening technical quality and service support, relying on quality and reputation to ensure survival, foster growth, and pursue development; for bolstering the training of young technical backbones, enabling them to gain experience, broaden their horizons, build resilience, and enhance their capabilities through hands-on project work, thereby cultivating a highly qualified, technically proficient team; and for reinforcing safety awareness, implementing the responsibility system for workplace safety, and tightening safety management across all fronts, including epidemic prevention and control.

Subsequently, the institute’s leadership conducted an on-site inspection of the Yunxi 1360 platform production site, presented care packages and monetary condolences to frontline field workers, and encouraged them to contribute their wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of Sinochem Shandong Institute with full enthusiasm and a positive spirit, thereby marking the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.

On August 5, a delegation of the institute’s leadership visited Yunnan Guibao Geological Exploration and Design Co., Ltd. for an inspection and exchange, during which they signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at jointly expanding and extending their operations in the Sichuan–Yunnan region, leveraging complementary strengths to achieve win‑win outcomes. Wang Qingfeng expressed his hope that the two parties would work hand in hand to strengthen collaboration in geological exploration and mineral development across Yunnan, Sichuan, and other provinces, while further deepening cooperation in areas such as geological hazard mitigation, ecological restoration, and engineering surveys, thereby elevating their partnership to a new level. He Dong, Chairman of Guibao Geological Exploration and Design Co., Ltd., highly commended the series of joint projects undertaken thus far, fully endorsing the Shandong Institute’s management expertise and technical capabilities. He is confident that the collaboration will deliver synergistic benefits—“one plus one greater than two”—and looks forward to the swift advancement and implementation of the projects currently under discussion.

On August 6, a delegation of the institute’s leadership held talks with Duan Yinglin, General Manager of the Yunnan Branch of China National Coal Industry Group Corporation, and other representatives. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on mineral resource development—particularly the exploration and utilization of geothermal resources—and ecological and environmental remediation, and conducted a thorough discussion on how to build competitive advantages in Yunnan’s mining and energy sectors as well as in the field of ecological civilization construction.

Vice President Sun Xinyong and his delegation also conducted an on-site inspection and research visit to the Shangri-La Economic Development Zone in Diqing Prefecture, holding in-depth discussions with the zone’s government regarding geothermal development projects. Liu Qiusheng, Party Secretary of the Economic Development Zone and Director of its Management Committee, expressed full appreciation for the institute’s earlier geothermal exploration efforts and urged the institute to continue drilling geothermal wells, develop geothermal resources, and contribute to the zone’s efforts to build a health-and-wellness town and a hot-spring resort town. Relevant officials from the Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau, the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, the Environmental Protection Bureau, and other departments accompanied the delegation on the inspection.
