Our hospital’s staff received high praise for participating in Gansu Province’s “Emergency Mission 2022” realistic earthquake‑response and disaster‑relief exercise in high‑altitude, cold‑climate conditions.

From May 7 to 13, the nation observed National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Public Awareness Week. On the 11th, Gansu Province hosted the “Emergency Mission·2022” live‑action earthquake relief exercise in high‑altitude, cold‑climate regions. Hou Xinxing, a staff member of the Tai’an Geological Sub‑Institute under the Earthquake and Geological Disaster Rescue Department of the National Emergency Management Ministry, was seconded to participate in this realistic‑scenario drill and received high praise from the organizers.

Hou Xinxing, accompanied by relevant colleagues from the Earthquake and Geological Disaster Rescue Department of the National Emergency Management Ministry, traveled to the Zhangye Main Exercise Site in Gansu. Working around the clock—day and night—and going above and beyond their regular duties, he collaborated with the Gansu provincial and municipal exercise offices and the working group to actively participate in drafting the exercise plan, preparing the exercise script, and providing guidance to the preliminary task force on earthquake relief efforts. With a meticulous and rigorous approach and a pragmatic, highly efficient work style, he contributed his expertise and dedication to the successful completion of this exercise.

In recent years, our institute has, through various mechanisms such as “secondment to higher-level posts” and “assignment to lower-level posts,” successively selected numerous outstanding employees for temporary secondments or concurrent postings to relevant ministries and commissions, as well as local natural resources and planning bureaus, where they have consistently demonstrated exceptional performance, showcasing the strong professional competence and exemplary work ethic of Shandong Institute staff. Their contributions have earned them high recognition and praise from the host organizations.
