In accordance with the relevant requirements of the Institute Party Committee for the 2021 organizational life meetings and democratic evaluations of Party members, the Second Party Branch convened, in the form of party subgroups, a series of organizational life meetings and democratic evaluation sessions. On February 24, it also held the first-quarter 2022 Party Members’ Meeting via video conference, systematically summarizing the outcomes of the 2021 organizational life meetings and democratic evaluations, and conducted a themed Party Day activity titled “Unite Hearts and Gather Strength, Forge Ahead with Determination.” The meeting was chaired by Wang Juan, Secretary of the branch, while Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, attended the relevant sub‑group and branch meetings as an ordinary Party member.
Prior to the meeting, the branch committee reviewed and finalized the agenda for the Second Party Branch’s 2021 special organizational life meeting and the democratic evaluation of party members. In light of actual work conditions, each party group conducted in-depth study beforehand, and a total of 18 rounds of heart-to-heart talks were held—between branch committee members, between the committee and party members, and among party members themselves. Five suggestions and comments regarding the branch and its committee were collected, helping to align thinking, identify gaps and shortcomings, and clarify directions for future efforts. All party members carefully completed the “Democratic Evaluation of Party Members Registration Form,” presented self‑examinations and analyses at their group meetings, reflected on their own problems and their underlying causes, and engaged earnestly in criticism and self‑criticism. During the meeting, “Democratic Evaluation of Party Members Assessment Forms” were also distributed, and anonymous democratic evaluations and scoring were conducted.

At the branch general meeting, Comrade Wang Juan, the branch secretary, reported on the convening of the organizational life meetings and the democratic evaluations of Party members held by each Party group. On behalf of the branch committee, she also presented a report on the branch’s work over the past year, analyzed existing problems and shortcomings, outlined directions for rectification, and formulated specific corrective measures. Comrade Zhang Hailiang, the organization committee member, announced the results of the democratic evaluation of Party members: according to the assessment, all members of the Second Party Branch achieved a 100% pass rate, and seven comrades were rated as outstanding Party members, receiving public commendation.
At the meeting, the Second Party Branch also held a themed Party Day activity titled “Unite Hearts and Gather Strength, Forge Ahead with Determination.” Comrade Wang Juan led the study and revisited the Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party’s Centennial Struggle, providing a detailed interpretation. Secretary Yang Cheng addressed the assembly, emphasizing that all Party members must elevate their political awareness, uphold their political stance, and consistently exemplify the vanguard role of Communist Party members—taking the lead in politics and setting an example in action—while daring to shoulder responsibilities and acting proactively, thereby making due contributions to the development of Shandong Institute.

Comrade Wang Juan, the Party branch secretary, delivered a concluding address, calling on all Party members to continue to strengthen Party building as always, actively integrate it with production and business operations, unite as one, forge ahead with determination, and greet the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements!
