To ensure that all employees enjoy a safe and peaceful Spring Festival and to enhance their awareness of epidemic prevention and control, on January 24, the First Party Branch held a themed Party Day activity titled “Shoulder Political Responsibilities, Maintain an Emergency Response State, Refine Epidemic Contingency Plans, and Strengthen Joint Prevention and Control.”

Li Zheng, Deputy Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), used a PowerPoint presentation to explain the COVID‑19 epidemic situation, key information about the Omicron variant, and the prevention and control policies and requirements of Shandong Province, Jinan City, and our institute. He also provided an update on the two newly confirmed cases reported in Jinan. The session focused on reviewing the various emergency response measures implemented during the pandemic, clarifying concepts such as close contacts, secondary close contacts, centralized quarantine, and home isolation, and outlining essential precautions for travel.

Branch Secretary Yang Xiaomin urged everyone to: first, elevate their sense of responsibility and actively cooperate with our institute and local epidemic‑prevention efforts, conscientiously complying with all relevant regulations; second, strengthen management by further refining internal rules and procedures, thereby enabling the functional departments to play their full role in advancing the development of a model civilized unit. She also reminded all staff members to carefully review and adhere to the防疫 requirements of their departure, transit, and destination points before returning home, to maintain rigorous personal protective measures throughout their journeys, and, upon arrival, to minimize gatherings and unnecessary travel, ensuring that epidemic prevention remains a sustained, long‑term priority and that they can safely and smoothly resume work after the holiday.

Finally, Li Zheng outlined the study topics and requirements for the Party group.
