　　To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization, enhance the technological level of the ecological and environmental industries, and strengthen talent development, the Group (Bureau) held a training session on mine ecological protection and restoration on January 17. Jiao Sen, a member of the Group (Bureau) Party Committee and Chief Engineer, presided over the training and delivered an important address.

　　The training invited Teacher Zhang Deqiang from the China Geological Environment Monitoring Institute to deliver a lecture. He systematically outlined, from multiple perspectives—including the current status and strategic imperatives of ecological protection and restoration in China’s mining sector, ecological conservation and restoration in operating mines, ecological rehabilitation of historically abandoned mines, technical standards for mine‑site restoration, case studies of integrated restoration projects, and the preparation of implementation plans—the relevant policies, key tasks, overarching requirements, planning and execution, as well as the major challenges involved in mine‑site ecological protection and restoration. This provided theoretical guidance to the Group (Bureau) for further enhancing its professional expertise in ecological protection and restoration, seizing critical strategic opportunities, and advancing the construction of a “Beautiful China.”

　　In his closing remarks at the training, Jiao Sen emphasized that all units must consciously elevate their political awareness, thoroughly review and consolidate the outcomes of the training, and firmly assume their political responsibility for ecological and environmental protection and restoration. He also called for strengthening talent development, building specialized teams, enhancing overall capabilities, and expanding into the market for ecological protection and restoration in mining operations, ensuring high‑level conservation and high‑standard remediation to drive the Group’s (Bureau’s) high‑quality development.

　　More than 210 participants from the Group’s (Bureau’s) relevant business departments and all directly affiliated units attended this training session.
