To help newly hired employees gain a comprehensive understanding of our institute, become familiar with the work environment, and integrate into their teams, our institute held the 2021 New Employee Orientation and Onboarding Training Session on August 27.
At the welcome meeting, newly hired employees introduced themselves one by one. Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Diao Haizhong, on behalf of our institute, extended a warm welcome to the new recruits and offered them several words of encouragement and guidance: First, accelerate the transition into your new roles and actively integrate into the organization; second, be enterprising and bold in striving for excellence, setting clear and meaningful life goals; third, study diligently and think critically, aligning knowledge with practice to strengthen your intrinsic motivation to learn; fourth, foster solidarity with colleagues, remain humble and eager to learn, and pursue continuous self-improvement; and fifth, abide by rules and regulations, demonstrate dedication and professionalism, and, in this entirely new work environment, work hard and forge ahead, contributing to the high-quality development of Shandong Institute. Other leaders also shared their parting words of advice with the new colleagues.
Subsequently, Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Diao Haizhong, together with Party Secretary and Vice Dean Wang Qingfeng, presented commemorative gifts to representatives of the new employees.
At the orientation session, Wang Jiguo, Assistant to the President and Director of the General Office, provided an in-depth overview of the Administration’s general profile, as well as our institute’s historical development, organizational structure, qualification accreditation, and business growth. Meanwhile, Chen Haiying, Director of the Party and Mass Work Department (Party Committee Office), presented an introduction to the institute’s party‑building culture, enabling new employees to gain a more comprehensive understanding of our organization.
Li Zheng, Deputy Director of the Geological Science and Technology Department (Safety and Environmental Protection Department), conducted an onboarding safety training session for new employees, aiming to strengthen their awareness of safety responsibilities, reinforce their commitment to safe production, enhance their safety competence, and solidify the foundation of safety management. He urged all newly hired staff to fulfill their duties diligently, thereby contributing to the stable and secure development of our institute.
This conference fostered a positive atmosphere for communication and collaboration, strengthened new employees’ sense of identity and belonging to our institution, and clarified their career paths and professional development plans. As a result, it has played a constructive role in helping new staff integrate more effectively into our organization and in advancing its overall growth.
The meeting was chaired by Yang Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection. Attending were Party Committee members, including Vice President and Trade Union Chairman Sun Xinyong, Chief Engineer Peng Mingzhang, along with other院leaders, heads of several functional departments, and 11 newly hired employees currently on staff.
