[Our Festival] The Second Party Branch Held a Themed Party Day Activity: “Wrapping Zongzi to Welcome the Dragon Boat Festival”

To fully leverage the leading role of Party building, carry forward the fine traditional culture of the Chinese nation, actively cultivate and practice the core socialist values, promote the spirit of patriotism, and enrich the cultural lives of Party members and the general public during the holiday, the Surveying Party Group of the Second Party Branch recently organized a themed Party Day activity titled “Making Zongzi to Welcome the Dragon Boat Festival” at its Taian project site.

At the event site, Party members and local residents gathered together for a zongzi‑wrapping competition. Using glutinous rice, bamboo leaves, red dates, and other ingredients prepared in advance by the project office, participants rolled up their sleeves and got to work with guidance from “instructors.” Throughout the process, they learned from one another, exchanging tips on the art of wrapping zongzi. Before long, neatly shaped, plump, and mouthwatering zongzi appeared before their eyes. Enjoying the zongzi they had made themselves, everyone shared their reflections on this traditional festival. Comrade Zhang Chao, a member of the Second Party Branch’s publicity committee and a Party member stationed at the project office, emphasized the importance of cherishing every grain of rice, putting an end to food waste, firmly upholding the Four Confidences, and promoting the fine traditions of the Chinese nation. As field workers, he added, it is essential to balance production tasks with active participation in collective activities such as Party‑building and cultural events, integrating the intangible strengths of Party building and culture into daily work and life.

Through this Dragon Boat Festival–themed Party Day activity, employees deepened their understanding of traditional festivals, strengthened the bond between the Party and the masses, and enhanced the synergy between Party building and traditional culture. As a result, project‑team members truly felt the warmth of a big family, bolstering team spirit and cohesion while alleviating work‑related stress, with commendable outcomes.
