The Tai’an Geological Branch has won the bid for an urban geological survey project.

Recently, the Tai’an Geological Branch of our institute successfully won the bid for the “Urban Geological Survey of Tai’an City, Shandong Province (Part on Geological Investigation and Evaluation of Urban Underground Space)” project, with a contract value exceeding RMB 7 million.
The project’s scope encompasses supplementary geological investigations in the fields of hydraulic engineering and environmental geology, hydrogeological drilling, and engineering‑geological drilling. Building on an in-depth analysis of existing data, it aims to preliminarily identify the environmental‑geological issues and the status of geological resources within Tai’an’s urban area, as well as to delineate the three‑dimensional subsurface geological structure to a depth of 100 meters. On this basis, it will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the geological‑environmental resources required for economic development and of the potential for developing and utilizing underground space, thereby providing a scientific foundation for managing the urban geological environment, rationally planning the city’s economic development layout, and promoting the sustainable development of the national economy.
For many years, the Tai’an Geological Branch has closely aligned itself with the city’s urban development strategy and the major geological issues that shape urban growth, proactively supporting the sustainable economic and social development of Tai’an. Moving forward, the branch will draw on advanced practices from cities both within and outside the province, leverage cutting-edge modern geological survey techniques, and strive to provide robust geological support for the city’s green, intensive, and smart development.
