On November 16, the finals of the third National Geological Exploration Industry Vocational Skills Competition, sponsored by the Shandong Geology and Mineral Resources Cup, kicked off in Jinan, the “City of Springs.” Our institute’s contestant, Yang Chen, together with Jin Song from the Institute of Geological Research and Cao Xu from the Inner Mongolia Institute, formed the China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau team to compete in the finals, going head-to-head with 73 other contestants who had advanced through multiple rounds of selection from provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and central geological exploration units across the country.
This competition aims to further promote the “craftsman spirit” and motivate professional and technical personnel to stay committed to their duties while continuously enhancing their professional skills and expertise. The China Chemical Geology And Mining Bureau’s participating team was guided technically by Zheng Houyi, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Geological Survey General Institute, and led by Peng Mingzhang, our institute’s Chief Engineer, who was entrusted by the Bureau to head the team.
It is reported that the final round comprises two components: a written examination on theoretical knowledge and a practical skills assessment. We wish our institute’s contestant, Yang Chen, as well as the members of the General Administration team, every success.
