On December 8, the Party branch of the Geotechnical Engineering Company organized a集中 study session on the “Recommendations” adopted at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, along with a Party lecture delivered by the branch secretary. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Wu Weiwei, the branch secretary, and was attended by a total of 10 participants, including Party members and prospective Party members.

　　The event began with Comrade Wang Yuqun, the branch’s publicity officer, conveying and studying the spirit of the General Administration Party Committee and the Institute Party Committee’s “Notice on Diligently Studying, Publicizing, and Implementing the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.” Subsequently, drawing on the supplementary study material “One Hundred Questions on the Study of the Suggestions of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee” as well as online learning resources, participants engaged in a集中 (centralized) study session on the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session. Organizational officer Sun Baotao and other attendees each took turns leading the study of specific chapters from the “Suggestions,” followed by an exchange of views based on their insights and a collective discussion. Through this study, all participants gained a deeper understanding of the significance and substantive implications of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and developed more profound reflections on how to apply theoretical principles to guide practical work going forward.

　　Following the study and discussion session, in accordance with the branch’s “Three Meetings and One Lesson” work plan, Branch Secretary Comrade Wu Weiwei delivered a Party lesson titled “Shouldering the Mission of Fully Building a Modern Socialist Country—Thoroughly Implementing the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee,” once again calling on all members to deeply study and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session, and to fully bring into play the exemplary and leading role of Party members as well as the fighting‑fortress role of the Party branch.

　　The Party lecture centered on the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, reviewed the remarkable historical achievements attained during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, and, with an eye to the 14th Five-Year Plan, deeply explored the global and historical significance of China’s embarkation on a new journey toward fully building a modern socialist country. The lecture held that the grand blueprint for fully building a modern socialist country outlined at the plenary session contains numerous “firsts”—a source of confidence that also embodies the profound truth and immense power of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, unprecedented in the history of socialist development and in the annals of the Chinese nation. As General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized, “The Chinese people neither provoke trouble nor fear it; in the face of any difficulty or risk, our resolve remains unshaken and our backbone unbent. The Chinese nation cannot be intimidated or crushed!” No one can shake socialist China, and a China that has already embarked on the path of socialist modernization is even less likely to be defeated.

　　In his Party lecture, Wu Weiwei emphasized that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee has opened up vast opportunities for the younger generation to showcase their talents and realize their life’s potential, and that China National Chemical Geological personnel have great prospects in pursuing their dreams in the new era. As Party members and young people of the new era, we must firmly uphold our ideals and convictions, set ambitious goals, and deliver concrete achievements worthy of this new era. Grounded in our professional expertise and committed to down-to-earth work, we should continue to make steady progress, using practical actions to strive for excellence and forge ahead with vigor on the new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects.

　　Following the meeting, Comrade Sun Baotao, the organizational committee member and head of the trade union branch, provided a brief report on the preparations for the branch’s 2021 New Year gala. The Party branch then convened participants to discuss the program lineup and recommendations, calling on Party members to take the lead, mobilize and organize more colleagues to contribute their talents and artistic performances, and actively participate in the Shandong Institute’s grand celebration, thereby contributing to the development of our institute’s corporate culture.
