On July 16, our institute convened a symposium and exchange meeting for non‑Party representatives, thoroughly implementing the Party’s principles and policies on the United Front, pooling the wisdom and strength of these individuals, and jointly promoting the institution’s high‑quality development. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of relevant documents on United Front work issued by the bureau (group), reported on several typical cases of misconduct and disciplinary violations involving non‑Party leading cadres, and organized a screening of the documentary “The Eight‑Point Decision That Changed China.” These activities aimed to keep United Front members firmly mindful of discipline, consciously resist unhealthy tendencies, conduct thorough self‑examination in light of established standards, strengthen corrective measures, and enhance the relevance and effectiveness of problem‑solving efforts.
During the symposium and exchange session, participating members of the United Front put forward their views and suggestions—grounded in their respective roles—on such topics as reform and development, service enhancement, process optimization, scientific research innovation, business management, and further strengthening of work style. Their contributions provided valuable guidance for the institute’s reform and development efforts. The Party Committee of the institute will fully assume its political responsibility for overseeing United Front work, strengthen planning, deployment, and implementation, and further refine communication channels. By establishing platforms such as a “Studio for Soliciting Advice and Suggestions from United Front Members,” it will actively create favorable conditions and opportunities for these individuals to fulfill their duties and play their part. The committee will also guide non‑Party intellectuals to take an active role in academic research and technological innovation, contributing their wisdom and strength to achieving higher‑quality development at the Shandong Institute and jointly writing a new chapter in its growth. Members of several democratic parties, representatives of non‑Party intellectuals, and staff from the United Front department attended the meeting.
