The First Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter party members’ meeting and held a themed Party Day activity titled “Celebrating Party Members’ Political Birthdays.”

To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and to guide Party members and cadres in further strengthening their sense of identity, their commitment to the Party’s fundamental purpose, and their sense of responsibility, thereby effectively fulfilling their role as pioneers and models, the First Party Branch convened its fourth-quarter Party members’ meeting on the morning of December 25.

The meeting commenced with a study session on the first agenda item, during which participants delved into the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s remarks during his inspection tour of Hubei Province. They also watched a training course titled “In-depth Study and Implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s New Ideas, New Perspectives, and New Conclusions on Comprehensively Deepening Reform, as well as the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.” Through this learning, all Party members and active candidates deepened their understanding of the key messages from General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, gaining a more profound grasp of the essence of the reform agenda and further clarifying its core tenets. All participants pledged to take this study session as an opportunity to further align thinking, build consensus, energize their work, and introduce innovative measures, thereby continuously enhancing their professional competence and overall capabilities, elevating their performance, and contributing to the comprehensive deepening of reform and the high-quality development of the geological exploration sector.

At the meeting, Ji Rui-feng, Chairman of the Trade Union, delivered a special Party lecture titled “Supporting Geological Exploration and Promoting Development, Focusing on Employees to Deliver Practical Results.” Drawing on the important directives issued by the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee regarding trade unions and other mass organizations, he provided a clear, systematic, and comprehensive discussion on how to strengthen grassroots trade union work in the new era. His remarks covered four key areas: the profound significance of the Third Plenary Session; upholding the Party’s overall leadership and firmly anchoring trade union work in the correct political direction; strengthening ideological and political guidance to unite and lead employees in advancing geological exploration and reform; and effectively fulfilling the role of a bridge and link to genuinely enhance employees’ sense of gain, happiness, and security. Over the years, the institute’s trade union has actively leveraged Party building as a guiding force, conscientiously carried forward the red gene, and organized a wide array of learning and team‑building activities for staff. These efforts have further elevated the political awareness of union members, continuously inspired them to forge ahead, take initiative, and pursue success in their work, thereby effectively fulfilling the trade union’s role as a vital bridge connecting workers with the organization. In addition, Ji Rui-feng put forward suggestions and recommendations on organizing science‑and‑technology innovation initiatives aligned with the central priorities, establishing employee innovation studios, and building “employee homes,” among other tasks.

During the meeting, a themed Party Day activity titled “Party Members Celebrate Their Political Birthdays” was also held. Through distributing political birthday cards and a gift symbolizing red faith, as well as revisiting the oath of admission to the Party, the branch celebrated the political birthdays of its members, enabling them to genuinely feel the care and concern of the organization. The Party branch secretary extended heartfelt wishes on this occasion, emphasizing that observing a political birthday serves as a reminder of one’s duties and mission. She urged all party members to always bear in mind their identity as Communists, continue to set exemplary standards, lead by example, enhance work efficiency, and safeguard the advanced nature and purity of the Party. In both work and daily life, they should consistently hold themselves to the high standards expected of Party members, conscientiously uphold discipline and regulations, and continuously exemplify the vanguard role. By organizing this event, not only were party members’ sense of happiness and belonging strengthened, but their sense of responsibility and mission was also greatly inspired, further bolstering the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the First Party Branch.
