Congratulations! A team from our institute has been approved as a first‑level science and technology innovation team at the bureau (group) level.


Recently, the Bureau (Group) officially announced its 2024–2026 Science and Technology Innovation Teams, and the “Urban Ground Subsidence Mechanism and Prevention & Control Science and Technology Innovation Team” submitted by our institute was approved as a Tier‑1 Science and Technology Innovation Team of the Bureau (Group).

This science and technology innovation team is primarily built upon the multi‑phase stratified benchmarking and land subsidence survey projects in Jinan City that were previously conducted by the Hydrogeology and Environmental Division of our institute. Led by Yin Xiuzhen, the bureau (group)’s chief expert, and composed of core technical personnel from the land subsidence project, the team brings together experts from hydrogeology, geotechnical mechanics, surveying and mapping engineering, computer science, and other related disciplines to form a closely collaborative, interdisciplinary innovation group.

This innovative research team takes the Jinan Pilot Zone for New‑and‑Old Kinetic Energy Conversion as its study area. Through surveys of hydrogeological and engineering geological conditions, and by analyzing the characteristics of land subsidence along with its influencing factors and underlying mechanisms, the team conducts predictive studies under various scenarios. It investigates the impacts of both groundwater extraction and applied loads on land subsidence, and develops a numerical model that accounts for the combined effects of groundwater withdrawal and structural loading. These efforts provide scientific evidence and technical support for the effective control of land subsidence in the pilot zone, as well as for future urban development and sustainable economic growth.

The “Urban Land Subsidence Mechanism and Prevention‑Control Technology Innovation Team” marks the second time our institute has undertaken a science‑and‑technology innovation project commissioned by the bureau (group). Seizing this opportunity, we will continue to increase investment in scientific and technological innovation, refine our innovation system, strengthen the training of specialized technical personnel and the development of a team of chief experts, and steadily enhance our research capabilities and academic standards. In doing so, we will accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements and inject new, high‑quality productive forces into the institute’s drive for high‑quality development.
