At the start of the new year, Shang Honglin, Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee, Chairman, and Director, led a delegation on a fact-finding mission to Shanghai. During the visit, he engaged in in-depth discussions with Shanghai Baowu Environmental Science Group, Shanghai Lichang Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Shannan Survey & Design Co., Ltd., yielding substantial results. First, the Group reaffirmed its strategic positioning as an active participant in regional economic initiatives such as the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei integration. Second, it strengthened its resolve to intensify efforts in scientific and technological innovation and to pursue a path as a technology-driven enterprise. Third, it established robust partnerships with relevant enterprises and academic experts, reaching a consensus on leveraging complementary strengths for mutual development.
On the afternoon of January 5, Shang Honglin and his delegation first visited Baowu Environmental Science Group (hereinafter referred to as “Baowu Huanke”). Chen Zaigen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Baowu Huanke, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. During the symposium, both sides outlined their respective corporate histories, organizational structures, and core business areas, with Baowu Huanke highlighting several successful case studies in soil remediation. Shang Honglin proposed that the two parties leverage their respective strengths to strengthen cooperation in areas such as the treatment of abandoned mines, soil restoration, and technological exchange. To advance further collaboration, each side designated a liaison to maintain regular communication and exchanges.
On the morning of January 6, Shang Honglin and his delegation visited the Lingang New Area in Shanghai, toured the Lingang New Area Industrial Park, listened to a briefing on the area’s master plan from leaders of the Lingang Group, and held a symposium with Shanghai Lichang Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Lichang”). Chairman Chang Li of Shanghai Lichang first outlined the company’s business operations and competitive advantages. Researcher Luo Yongming of the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented the planning and development direction of Lichang’s Academician Workstation for Soil Remediation. Professor Hu Zhenqi of China University of Mining and Technology delivered a report on key technologies and applications in mine ecological restoration. The two sides engaged in comprehensive discussions on areas with potential for collaboration. Subsequently, Shang Honglin and his delegation inspected Shanghai Lichang’s Lingang base and the dynamic groundwater‑circulation remediation system developed by the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
On the afternoon of January 6, Shang Honglin and his delegation conducted a fact-finding visit to Shanghai Shannan Surveying and Design Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Shannan”) and held a symposium with Wang Yanhua, Chairman of Shanghai Shannan. Both sides exchanged information on their respective companies and business operations. Shang Honglin commended Shanghai Shannan for its steady and rapid growth in highly competitive markets such as geological exploration and geotechnical engineering, particularly praising the deep integration of Party building with business management at Shanghai Shannan. He further stated that the two parties should leverage their respective strengths, collaborate sincerely while maintaining their unique characteristics and areas of focus, and, building on the successful cooperation between Shanghai Shannan and the Fujian Institute of Sinochem Group—through the establishment of the Fujian Institute’s Shanghai Branch—expand into broader and deeper partnerships.
Lin Guoxuan, a member of the Party Committee, director, deputy general manager, and deputy bureau chief; Huang Yongming, director of the Market Development Department; and leaders from the Fund Company, the Geological Research Institute, the Zhejiang Institute, the Fujian Institute, the Ningbo New Materials Company, and other units accompanied the inspection.
