On July 22, Zhai Fangming, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the China National Coal Geological Bureau, visited our institute to conduct a research visit and provide guidance on youth work, followed by an exchange symposium. During the session, he gained an in-depth understanding of young people’s thoughts and concerns and addressed their questions and challenges. Pan Weicai, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, along with members of the Youth League Committee and young League members working at the institute, attended the symposium.
At the symposium, Zhai Fangming listened to reports on the institute’s production and operations, Party-building efforts for the first half of the year, and its Communist Youth League work over recent years, and expressed full appreciation for the institute’s achievements in these areas. Members of the institute’s Youth League Committee and young representatives, drawing on their respective job responsibilities and practical experiences, shared their insights, discussed their professional journeys and reflections, and put forward suggestions on topics such as publicity for youth-themed activities, the recruitment of young talent, promotion of professional titles, and opportunities for young people to build friendships.
Zhai Fangming engaged in cordial exchanges with all attendees, carefully listened to the remarks of young League members and youth, provided targeted professional guidance on relevant work, and expressed earnest expectations for the growth and development of young employees. He encouraged the young geoscientists to stay committed to their posts, dare to innovate, hone their skills through hard work, and strive for excellence. He also urged the Youth League Committee of Shandong Institute to deepen exchanges and cooperation with local entities, continuously strengthen the League’s capacity for leadership, organization, and service, and further organize and implement the “Youth Study” initiative. Taking the establishment of “Model Posts, Teams, and Workstations” as a key leverage point, he called for making tangible contributions in areas such as “Youth Innovation Studios,” “Youth Commando Teams,” and “Youth Safety Demonstration Posts,” thereby vigorously promoting innovation and efficiency among the institute’s young workforce, unleashing the dynamism of League members and young staff in pursuing creative endeavors, and uniting and rallying youthful energy to actively contribute to the institution’s high-quality development.
