[July 1st Series of Activities] The Party Committee of the Institute organized a party‑spirit education event and convened a conference to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, as well as a commendation ceremony for “Two Outstanding Individuals and One Advanced Party Organization.”

To celebrate the Party’s birthday, further strengthen Party members’ ideological and political cultivation, and reinforce among our institute’s Party members, cadres, and employees their loyalty to and love for the Party, as well as their firm resolve to follow the Party, while enhancing the cohesion and centripetal force of the Party organization and inspiring Party members to play a pioneering and exemplary role, thereby rallying powerful momentum to ensure the successful completion of annual goals and tasks, on July 1, the Institute’s Party Committee organized nearly 60 participants—including Party members, prospective Party members, non-Party representatives, and outstanding employee representatives—to visit the Yuanshan Hardship‑Driven Entrepreneurship Education Base in Shandong for Party‑spirit education, drawing strength from the revolutionary legacy. The Committee also convened a ceremony to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and to honor outstanding Party members, model workers, and advanced collectives.

Hardship and pioneering spirit reflect our original aspiration; studying history and upholding discipline strengthen Party character.

Led by the docent, the participants visited and studied at the Yuanshan Memorial Hall of Arduous Entrepreneurship and the Party‑Member Health‑Checkup Center.

At the Yuanshan Memorial Hall of Arduous Entrepreneurship, visitors gained an in-depth understanding—through exhibits of photographs, documents, artifacts, and audiovisual materials—of how Yuanshan Forest Farm, over more than six decades, has been carried forward by three generations who have remained true to their original aspirations, persevered with unyielding determination, and labored tirelessly to transform barren mountains into lush greenery and abundant natural wealth. They deeply experienced the pioneering spirit of the Yuanshan people: “particularly resilient in hardship, particularly tenacious in battle, particularly patient in endurance, and particularly devoted to service.”

At the Party‑Character Health Center, participants deepened their understanding of Party principles through a series of educational modules—such as “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration Ensures We Remain Steadfast,” “Our Original Aspiration Takes Root in Spirit, and Spirit Rekindles That Aspiration,” “Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind and Continuing to Strive,” and “The History of the CPC in Zibo”—as well as by watching Party‑education films, conducting self‑examinations, and reaffirming their Party oaths. These activities provided them with a profound and vivid spiritual renewal.

The entrepreneurial journey of the Party members, cadres, and employees of Yuanshan Forest Farm—rooted in the development philosophy that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”—and the “Four Specials” spirit it embodies, resonate deeply with the work of geologists and our own “Four Specials” ethos. For this very reason, the tenacious pioneering spirit of Yuanshan Forest Farm has struck a chord with all participants. Attendees pledged to inherit and vigorously promote the spirit of hard work and perseverance in the new era, remain true to our original aspirations, forge ahead with determination, keep our mission firmly in mind, and dedicate ourselves with a sense of responsibility. They also resolved to leverage their professional expertise to advance ecological civilization, embodying the principle of “one family, one heart, one goal, working together,” uniting as one, overcoming challenges, and jointly driving Shandong Institute toward high-quality development.

Party Lessons Nourish the Heart and Forge the Party Spirit; Commendation of Outstanding Individuals Drives Continuous Improvement

On the afternoon of July 1, the Party Committee of the institute convened a conference at the Yuanshan Base for Education on Pioneering Spirit to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and to honor outstanding Party members, exemplary Party organizations, and advanced individuals.

The meeting conveyed the decisions of the Party Committee of the Institute (Company) on the “Two Excellences and One Pioneer” awards and of the Youth League Committee of the Institute on the May Fourth Commendation, followed by an on-site award ceremony. Outstanding Party Affairs Worker and Secretary of the Fourth Party Branch, Wu Shumeng; Outstanding Communist Party Member, Wang Kunyu; and Young Skilled Professional, Zheng Jian—among other exemplary representatives—each delivered remarks. The event concluded with a flag‑presentation ceremony for the Party Member Commando Team and the Party Member Responsibility Zones.

Party Secretary and President Wang Qingfeng extended his congratulations to the advanced collectives and individuals honored at the ceremony, and conveyed festive greetings to the Party affairs workers who have tirelessly devoted themselves to the Party’s building work at our institute, as well as to the broad ranks of Party members who are steadfastly engaged on the front lines in field operations and diligently contributing to all aspects of the institute’s undertakings. At the meeting, President Wang Qingfeng delivered a Party lecture titled “Cultivating Party Spirit to Fulfill Our Mission, Uniting Hearts and Strengths to Uphold Our Original Aspirations, and Presenting Outstanding Achievements in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China.” Drawing on the current situation and recent key priorities, he discussed and shared insights on how to strengthen disciplinary development and comprehensively accomplish the year’s objectives and tasks.

The meeting emphasized that this year marks the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and it is a year in which the Shandong Institute will continue to strive toward high-quality development under the 14th Five-Year Plan. At present, the campaign on Party discipline and conduct education is about to enter its concluding and improvement phase, and more than half of the year’s targets and tasks have already elapsed. Judging from the operating data for the first half of the year, the pressure to achieve the annual goals and tasks is considerable, and the situation remains extremely challenging. It is hoped that, in the second half of the year, all Party members and cadres, while strictly observing rules and regulations, will be able to work with peace of mind, act boldly, forge ahead with determination, and take proactive steps.

First, we must “increase revenue” by further strengthening market development.

Second, we must strengthen technical and quality management to safeguard the Shandong Institute’s brand and reputation.

Third, we must strengthen the control of “two types of receivables and inventories” and implement comprehensive budget management.

Fourth, we must continue to strengthen workplace safety efforts.

Fifth, we must integrate Party discipline study and education with our business operations to strengthen compliance management.

During the meeting, participants also watched an educational warning video and reviewed case studies to underscore the importance of staying vigilant at all times. They were reminded to draw clear lessons from these cases, continuously strengthen their defenses against corruption, and enhance their resolve to resist it. By keeping their original aspirations and mission firmly in mind and faithfully fulfilling their duties, they pledged to contribute to the high-quality development of Shandong Institute.
