Recently, following a fiercely contested bidding process, our institute was successfully awarded the project titled “Investigation and Evaluation of Shallow Geothermal Energy in the Yellow River Basin (Shanghe County), Jinan City, along with the Construction of a Heating (and Cooling) Demonstration Project,” commissioned by the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning.

Building on the two earlier projects our institute implemented—the “Shallow Geothermal Energy Survey and Heating Pilot for Poverty Alleviation and Relocation in the Yellow River Floodplain (Zhangqiu District), Jinan”—and the “Research on Shallow Geothermal Energy Applications and Construction of a Heating Demonstration Project in the Jinan New‑Old Kinetic Energy Conversion Startup Zone”—this new initiative marks another significant milestone. Through the execution of these two preceding phases, our institute has amassed extensive construction expertise, benefiting 3,300 households and over 12,000 residents. These efforts have served as an important model for the effective utilization of shallow geothermal energy in resettlement areas, while also delivering substantial economic and social benefits to the local community.

This successful bid is a clear affirmation of our institute’s technical expertise and overall strength in the development and utilization of shallow geothermal energy, as well as recognition of our established position in the Jinan market for such projects. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our professional and technical advantages, delivering high‑quality services, superior performance, and outstanding results, thereby making further contributions to the development and utilization of shallow geothermal energy in Jinan.
