Hello everyone. Today, with heartfelt gratitude, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Zhou Kai, Deputy Director of the Resources and Environment (Geological Disaster) Branch (Business Unit) of our organization. I am deeply grateful to Comrade Zhou Kai for extending a helping hand in a critical moment and providing timely assistance.
At 8:15 a.m. on May 23, I got off bus route K8 and was walking normally along the sidewalk from north to south when I was suddenly knocked to the ground by a motorcycle approaching from behind. I lost consciousness instantly, felt an excruciating pain as if my lower back had snapped, and lay on the ground unable to move.
When I was helpless, Zhou Kai, the deputy director of the Resources and Environment (Geological Disaster) Branch (Business Unit) at my workplace, happened to be passing by. Seeing me lying on the ground, he quickly assessed my injuries and immediately called an ambulance. While waiting for the ambulance, he used his umbrella to shield me from the sun, directed non-motorized vehicles off the sidewalk, secured the scene, and recorded the肇事者的联系方式—details of the person responsible. At the Surgical Emergency Center of Jinan Central Hospital, Zhou Kai accompanied me through registration, examinations, payment, and a CT scan. He also advanced the medical expenses and proactively communicated with the doctors about my condition, staying until my son arrived. Only after thoroughly explaining the situation did he leave.
Comrade Zhou Kai’s spirit of selflessly helping others is truly worthy of our admiration and emulation. On behalf of my entire family, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Comrade Zhou Kai for stepping in to lend a helping hand when I needed it most.
